5 Ways to Prep Your Wardrobe for Spring

Have you noticed?  Springtime is upon us!  Are you ready?  I'm not.  With the weather slowly warming up (and I do mean sloooowly), now is the time to prepare your wardrobe for spring.

Spring Cleaning

If you're anything like me, you pack up your wardrobe and store it when the season's change.  During the cold weather months, my spring apparel is sitting in a lonely, dark corner awaiting the sun to shine again.  Perfect time to break open the storage totes and see the clothes you forgot you had.

Cut It...

... or hem it, or fold it.  If you're daring, breathe new life into your wardrobe by making some minor (or or major) cuts.  Cut the sleeves of a long-sleeved shirt/sweater or the hem of a pair of skinnies (to just above ankle length) for a new twist on an old fave.  If cutting is too drastic for you, folding or hemming is just as good.

Bright White

Mix and match some of your white separates for a look that's as fresh as the spring air.

Toasty Toes

Add some street-style inspired flare to your heels by wearing them with socks.

Buy One, Get Two

Turn a fitted dress you already own into a crop top and skirt (that you can wear together or separately) via a quick trip to the tailor.  If your a regular Martha Stewart, you can tackle the task yourself with scissors, a sewing machine, and piece of elastic.
