#SSBeClassy vs. #SSBeSassy #OOTD: Birds of Paradise Top

Birds of Paradise Top and Blue Bars Bracelets, Sugar & Spikes Boutique; Polka Dot Blazer, The Limited; Skirt, Unique Thrift Store; Necklace, Forever 21; Belt (Unknown); Pumps, Marshalls
I'm always in this constant battle when it comes to my look. Some people have a uniform, but I'm something like a style chameleon. I dress for my mood. I dress for the occasion.

I love the Spikes Collection Birds of Paradise Top because it is so versatile! The dual fabrication makes it very easy to dress up or dress down. As an image consultant and brand strategist, I have to look the part for client meetings and events, but I am a firm believer that "professional" does not equal "boring." Paired with a bias cut skirt from Unique Thrift Store and a 3/4 sleeve blazer from The Limited, the Birds of Paradise Top was the perfect option to spice up my professional look.

The Blue Bars Bracelets from the Spikes Collection bring out the color in the Birds of Paradise Top!
The other side of my personality loves rugged, yet feminine piece. I quickly transitioned from classy to sassy by trading my blazer for a chunky knit sweater, my swing skirt for skinny denim, and my girly pumps for spiked, metallic sneaker wedges.

3 Styling Tips for the Birds of Paradise Top:
  1. Add a blazer. - A blazer is my "go-to" wardrobe staple. It adds polish to the most basic look.
  2. Pair it with grey. - Grey is my favorite neutral because it brings out colors so well!
  3. Choose accessories with care. - Accessories really set the tone for your look. Consider the intent of your look during the selection process.
